This is my first time using a clamp like this. I was checking out some other brands and saw that these had good reviews and the price was right. I've glued up 3 boards so far, and they are very easy and quick to set up! I used some painter's tape on the bottom rail and have little to no cleanup afterwards. I used a scrap piece of wood by the rear pins just to prevent any damage to the finished piece, but don't think it's really necessary. Great clamps! Can't wait to check out more SpeTool products!

These clamps work as advertised. They keep everything perfectly flat and straight. Glue cleans off the clamps easily. Much easier to use than parallel clamps

Changed my straight knives to the SpeTool helical head on my planer and it is so much quieter and butter smooth! Plus it has more cutters than the shelix and costs much less! Well worth the investment.
I had bought 2 sets, 24" and 36" . I found them to be very protective and easy to use, they do keep your work from moving, and yes use a piece of scrap wood on ends. I would highly recommend to use this product. For me it was worth every penny
