I am very impressed with your product. It works as advertised. You still need to not be in a hurry and check all the wood before clamping. I have used all I bought and will continue to do so. Before clamping the wood down the wood make sure it is where you want it and check as you tighten the clamp that it stays level. If you do that it will come out wonderfully. It is possible to eliminate the clamps used to keep everything flat if done properly.
Well made - was hesitant on the price yeah my first set I was sold on it. Money well spent.
If you haven't used a track saw square, it's an indispensable accessory that lets you do quick, precise 90 degree cuts across the material by aligning the track with its side. As a Vine reviewer I've had the opportunity to try and review several track saw squares with my Milwaukee saw, and what sets this apart is its size--it provides a more substantial foothold on the workpiece than the compact squares I've used in the past. That aids with both precision and ease of use.
Tracksaw squares come in two main types, fixed and with an adjustable angle. This combines some of the advantages of both, since it has individual holes for precise angle setup. The tradeoff there is that you're limited to the preset angles, but I think for most purposes, that's probably a better compromise.
I tried putting it against a fixed square and the 90 degree angle was spot on.
Finally, the cost. This isn't cheap. You can get a decent smaller square for less. I'd say that the price differential is justified in terms of what you get, namely, a much more substantial tool that is easier to use and more precise -- but if you don't think you'll be using your track saw often, you should be aware that there are less expensive alternatives that work pretty well.
The product doesn’t work and was missing parts. It doesn’t roll like in the videos
This SpeTool Adjustable Angle Track Saw Square makes setting repeatable angles on a compatible track saw guide rail much more convenient than measuring each cut from scratch. The aluminum body feels substantial, and the preset stops provide a quick way to return to common angles without repeatedly laying out measurements.
My main complaint was the factory adjustment. The mechanism was loose enough that I had to tighten it down considerably before I was comfortable relying on it for repeatable cuts. That is an important detail for a tool whose primary purpose is accurate positioning. Once adjusted properly, the preset system is much more useful, but I would check the tightness before putting it to work on a project where cut accuracy matters.
