The SpeTool Portable Drill Guide bridges the gap between handheld convenience and drill-press precision. Built with a solid aluminum base and triple guide-rod support, it ensures accuracy and stability even in demanding workshop conditions.
Precision Engineering
With a runout tolerance of ≈ 0.004 inch, the SpeTool Drill Guide delivers millimeter-level accuracy, rivaling stationary presses. The integrated centering pins align quickly to your layout marks, keeping hole placement consistent across multiple workpieces.
Smooth Linear Guidance
Three ball-bearing guide rods provide friction-free, linear motion. The system maintains precise alignment throughout the full stroke—no binding, minimal maintenance, and long service life.
Adjustable Angles, Consistent Entry Point
The guide tilts from 0° to 60°, locking securely every 7.5°. Its geometry maintains a stable drilling point regardless of angle, allowing angled or compound drilling without repositioning your workpiece.
Stable V-Block Base
The hard-anodized aluminum base (3.8 kg / 8.36 lb) resists flexing and vibration. An integrated V-groove holds flat or round stock securely, while anti-slip pads improve grip during angled or vertical drilling.

Frequently Asked Questions
The guide ensures a runout precision 0.004 inch, giving you drill-press accuracy even with a handheld drill. It minimizes bit walking, keeps holes perpendicular, and ensures consistent results across multiple workpieces.
It’s designed primarily for wood, plywood, MDF, and plastics. You can drill light aluminum or brass using sharp bits and slower feed rates. Avoid heavy steel or thick metal unless your drill has sufficient torque and rigidity.
The base allows infinite adjustment between 0° and 60°, with positive locks every 7.5° to prevent drift. This ensures repeatable accuracy for joinery or angled holes.
It uses linear ball-bearing guide rods that minimize friction and vibration. No lubrication is needed, and motion stays smooth even after long-term use.
The dual removable pins align the guide perfectly to the center of your workpiece, enabling quick setup for symmetrical drilling without repeated measuring.
Got to use this immediately on a job requiring a lot of holes drilled in an attic. This also took advantage of the centering pins. Worked very well. I do a lot of angled drilling, so having a guide that has such a solid lock for the drilling angle will be useful without having to cut drilling blocks.
My only modification was adding a block and a magnet to the back to hold the chuck key to keep it handy and not lost.

Well made
Very solid, zero wobble. FYI, the holes on the base are 20mm which makes it easy to integrate into an mft styler workbench

Great tool
Great tool! Exceptionally well made. Very little if any run out. Makes drilling precise holes in confined spaces very easy.

Decent bit, but I think I need to work on some adjustments because it doesn't get the wood completely flush, instead it leaves a small little strip of wood about 1 cm wide and 1mm raised
