1/4’ radius insert tooling router bit a HIT!

The SpeTool W09002 1/4” Radius Corner Round Router Bit is all one could ask for in this size bit. It arrived in a Paper Packaging pouch which is recyclable No Plastic to add to the landfill is most appreciated.the storage container was robust and well protective if you are traveling to a work site. Included was the T2 wrench to change the insert tooling the bearing had plenty of lubricant and was smooth as silk. i measured the bit with a digital dial indicator Shank .249 Carbide Thickness .062 Shank Length 1.130 Bearing Diameter .500
I used the bit for a few runs on Solid hard Maple and no chatter marks and dropped the bit to produce a Filet on top of the radius and it performed flawlessly. The chips were large and clean I used this bit in an old Stanley Router which is at least 40-50 years old and was a clean cut out of the box I have other newer routers and I am sure that the bit will perform well in those as well. I have used carbide tooling for a good portion of my 48 year career and to be able to change the tooling will be a bonus and most likely be less money than sending it out for sharpening, overall i think this is a terrific tool to add the the quiver.

Smooth cut on the hardwoods

I mostly use hardwoods so I tested this bit out on a piece of Sapele. It cut super smooth and left a great finish on the piece. I have a bench project that I’ll be using it on next.
