Purchased this base to make a router sled. It was made of thick aluminum supports with a good design. Was impressed how it turned out and have used in for various flatting projects. Great purchase.
I was very happy with this cutter, itβs solid, accurate and gives a very clean cut. I had a lot of profiles to cut in oak and it demanded almost the entire capacity of the cutter. Because of the top and bottom bearing I never had to oppose the grain and the results were excellent.
A placement guide would be helpful similar to a template that tells the customer which piece goes where in the box.
I initially bought this for a one off project that demanded precision. It is superbly designed, substantial and will last for many years to come. After much research I decided that the spetool drill guide was the one for me. It did not disapoint . Now that I own one I am sure I can find many more uses for it. Depending on the exact nature of your occupation and the type of work where it is neither practical nor possible to take the stock to a drill press. Then a portable drill guide may be the solution to your problems. If that is the case then I would highly recommend that the spetool drill guide should be on your shortlist. If not at the very top of it
This is my first carbide insert bit and all I have to say is Wow! Clean cuts, smooth feeling and a promise of durability and savings. This turned out to be a great buy for me.
