hi Jess, received this router lift and installed it in my Bosch RA1181 router table. The quality and craftsmanship of this router lift is absolutely the best on the market.
Be prepared to pay a premium price, but I want to stress that it is worth every penny. I installed the United States lift with ease, and anyone with the slightest mechanical skill can do it also. If you are a woodworker or hobbies, be assured that you will not struggle with setting this up.SpeTools has put a lot of thought and engineering in this device. It is absolutely flat, but it did expose the very slight flaw on my Bosch router table.
I struggled at first with trying to use the leveling screws and set screws that came with the router table lift, but realized that the screws that is used to hold the table down has a different thread pitch from the stock screws that come with the OEM Bosch RA1181 table. You can either swap out all of the screws and nuts with the ones specifically sent with the router lift and everything works just fine. Adjustments on the table is a no-brainer. I especially like the way it is designed so that almost any router will fit this lift by simply opening up the retention clamps with the included wrench, installing the router, then tightening the clamps with the wrench. it literally took me a few seconds, not minutes, to install my Bosch router. I have not tried my Milwaukee hand router, but it appears that this will also fit flawlessly. The lift mechanism is absolutely silky smooth. I have yet to use my router table with the new lift installed, but from all observations, it is absolutely top notch.
Well made, perfect for my needs, strong, easy to use
They shipped it from California to Oregon, to Utah, Colorado, then back to Oregon… I live in Wyoming. So it took way longer to get delivered
After fighting with angles in particular while using my track saw I purchased the SpeTool adjustable Track Saw Square that angle adjusts with positive stops. It's great! It saves me a lot of set up time doesn't want to twist, especially on heavy stock or slick surfaces, and is really accurate on angle cuts. About time someone came up with this.
