Used the 1/4 shank/1/4 bit against a shop made aluminum jig cutting 3/8 dovetail pins without a bushing , works great, jig not damaged by shank, will try to cut some 3/16 pins next.
Great bit clean cut and sharp well worth the purchasing especially for those fine jobs
This is a very solid and heavy router sled. It was easy to assemble and use.
Order process was simple and, as has always been the case when ordering from Spetools, was very quickly fulfilled. The product was very well packed and worked out of the box.
I used the available CNC file as a starting point to design my own table but started with a small bedside table initially as a test. I must say everything worked extremely well and I am very happy with the results. Now on to more adventerous things.
Thanks Spetools for productising these circuits - I had been looking at making them myself for quite a while but you really saved me the trouble.
Thank you for your high evaluation!
I have to say that this bit is incredible. Obviously, a little intimidating due to it's large size. I am building a desk and having to template route 1&1/4" white oak (yes, extremely thick). I was getting crazy tear out with my other compression flush trim bits (i.e. Bits & Bits and Woodpecker). I bought this as a last resort and was hesitant at first. After cutting the material out and sanding with my oscillating sander to about 1/8" excess material, it cut it like butter. Had to turn my router speed down like it recommends, but it didn't have any issues. I was able to use both the top and bottom bearings. This bit was a project and time saver. Even after a lot of use, the blades are still sharp and I haven't even had to turn them yet. I can't say it would work for every situation, as the
32mm size diameter will limit how small you can get, but it will definitely be used on my larger projects. Thank you to crazy engineer that thought this beast of a bit up; and, thanks to Spetools for making it available.
