I’m making natural edge mesquite frames out of 2” mesquite. I had great hopes this could give me the straight, smooth edges I needed on the inside. I got a 3” wide strip rom Home Depot for a straight edge and this bit, at the slowest speed for safety, cut it like a hot knife thru butter. Perfectly smooth with no ridges from the blades. I got this on sale, but seeing the performance, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it at full price.

This tool is a beast
Only having used this tool a couple of times, I am completely satisfied with it's performance. I have used the bit to flush trim a few patterns in walnut and white oak. This bit moved right through the wood. The cut was very smooth. I am also happy that I will be able to turn / swap out the cutters.

Worked when others wouldn't (Sorry Bits&Bits and Woodpecker)
I have to say that this bit is incredible. Obviously, a little intimidating due to it's large size. I am building a desk and having to template route 1&1/4" white oak (yes, extremely thick). I was getting crazy tear out with my other compression flush trim bits (i.e. Bits & Bits and Woodpecker). I bought this as a last resort and was hesitant at first. After cutting the material out and sanding with my oscillating sander to about 1/8" excess material, it cut it like butter. Had to turn my router speed down like it recommends, but it didn't have any issues. I was able to use both the top and bottom bearings. This bit was a project and time saver. Even after a lot of use, the blades are still sharp and I haven't even had to turn them yet. I can't say it would work for every situation, as the
32mm size diameter will limit how small you can get, but it will definitely be used on my larger projects. Thank you to crazy engineer that thought this beast of a bit up; and, thanks to Spetools for making it available.

Ranger flush trim bit
Have only used this bit a few times so far but it works fantastic! Very smooth finish

Dangerous
Impressed
Cuts very cleanly as it pushes the limits of length. Loud which is good as it is very dangerous in its full extension. Make sure bandsaw cuts do not leave much material to remove
I've only tried cheaper router bits over several months in my new hobby. Once I've bought this compression bit, it has taken my excitement in woodworking to next level. It cuts through wood like butter.
The Excel router bit kit that I bought has a straight cutter but it's nothing like this.
Looking forward to buying more of these products.
Really enjoyed this project. Made top with Sienci Labs 48x30 Longmill and SPE bits. Did the project as a one sided job with Vectric V-Carve Pro 12. Used pine for top and built a box underneath with 3/4 plywood installed electronics and sealed top with Osmo finish. The support from SPE was great got right back to me with any questions I had Cheers Norm Emery
Beautiful, looking forward to the finished product!
It worked as described and with a good price. I did break it so I am back on here ordering another 2 so I have backups. The break was due to me in a hurry!
