🔍 Insert surfacing bits have small carbide knives held in place by screws. **Make sure the router is unplugged** and remove the bit from the router. Use the appropriate Torx or hex driver to loosen each tiny screw on the insert, then you can take out the carbide insert blade. Most insert knives have multiple sharp edges (often 2 or 4 edges). For example, if it’s a four-edge insert and one edge gets dull, rotate the insert to the next edge. Ensure any debris is cleaned off the seat, then reinstall the insert and tighten the screw firmly (but don’t over-torque and snap it). Replace all inserts the same way.
