The brass guide bushing has a 9/16\" outer diameter, and the snap-on collar brings it up to 3/4\" outer diameter (for the recess cut). The bits are 1/8\" and 1/4\" which are standard for these kits. This means if you buy commercial inlay templates (or patterns for bowties, letters, etc.) meant for the Whiteside or Milescraft kits, they will work perfectly with the SpeTool kit. The compatibility is really one-to-one with the industry standard. The centering pin fits a 1/4\" collet to align the guide. So in short: it’s the same size bushing/collar as other common kits, which is great because you can use readily available templates or even 3D-print your own template knowing those dimensions.
