Strong, Accurate, and Built to Last

5-Position Z-Axis for Maximum Flexibility
Whether you are flattening a thick slab or working with thinner material, the five preset height settings (from 1.5" to 6") save time. They also reduce the need for constant adjustments. This makes it a solid choice for both one-off jobs and batch projects.
Quick Setup, Easy Adjustments
The sled features a slide-in router bracket, making it simple to mount and remove your router. It comes with two base plates.
One is pre-drilled to fit popular models like Porter Cable, Bosch, Makita, and DeWalt. The other is a blank plate for custom drilling. No matter your setup, this sled is ready to fit right in.

SpeTool S01002 Dust Collection Shroud
The SpeTool S01002 Dust Collection Shroud is specifically designed for the S01001 Router Sled, focusing on enhancing the cleanliness and safety of your workspace, particularly in managing wood dust's impact on health.
Key features:
Health Protection: Wood dust poses potential risks to respiratory health. This dust collection shroud features an efficient dust brush that captures 90% of wood particles, directing them into a dust collection system. This significantly reduces the inhalation of harmful particles, providing a cleaner, healthier working environment.
Equipment Compatibility: The shroud is equipped with an acrylic plate and a 2-1/2" dust port, compatible with most routers and standard dust collection systems, making it an ideal upgrade for your S01001 Router Sled.
Easy Installation and Use: Assembly takes just a few minutes, and the quick-release bolt design ensures easy and secure positioning.
Smooth Operation: The addition of tape at the connection point between the guide rail and the dust collection device minimizes friction during sliding, ensuring smooth operation of the router.
Sturdy and Lightweight: Constructed from aluminum, this shroud is both durable and lightweight, making it easy to handle. The inlaid frame and plate design ensures a tight seal, effectively preventing dust from escaping and keeping your workspace clean.

Just what I needed.
This product works great. A 40" workbench was just right, and so much cheaper than the $700 versions. The router slide is friction as opposed to bearings, but slides smooth regardless. Highly recommend for a hobbiest who occasionally needs to flatten a slab.

The process was fairly easy, and the thing works as hoped for immediately. I don't have any lines or anything straight away, didn't even have to adjust anything (though was was careful to thoroughly tighten and verify the cutters were seated properly as I initially installed them). The sound volume reduction is honestly impressive, I did not buy it for that reason but the difference is huge - the straight blades absolutely SCREAM compared to this. Of course you should always wear ear protection, but it goes from "my neighbors are angry" to only really needing EP if you're actively working next to it. The finish is great too. I once saw it mentioned that upgrading to helical would keep your machine on the edge of popping it's circuit breaker (due to the constant contact/resistance of the helical cutters, versus a straight blade that contacts, then doesn't, then does again, repeating) but I have not had any circuits trip either on the machine or from the wall - granted I do finish cuts always, never fast, and I never go more than 1/16th per pass, so I'm not pushing it as hard as you possibly could. My only complaint is the blades themselves could be sharper (were not able to pass the arm hair shave test like a fresh set of dewalt blades are) so the machine is working harder than it would otherwise be. Be aware, it requires an unusually large socket (24mm) to get the main nut off, and it also requires a pair of snap ring pliers to complete the task. I suggest you watch the installation video all the way through before beginning so you make sure you have what you need and don't have to stop and visit Lowe's Depot half way through like I did haha
